As Founder and CEO of the idoodle group of companies, with offices in Ottawa, Canada, Norfolk, Virginia and London, England, Robert has over 30 years experience in the high technology and software industries and a series of educational software products in over 8,000 schools representing 4,000,000 students. Prior to idoodlesoftware he was the founder and CEO of Data Evolution Corporation, designer and manufacturer of the award winning Clio handheld PC with hundreds of thousands of global users and contracts with values in excess of $1.5B.
Robert initiated and negotiated the acquisition of the 50x15 hardware division of AMD (the precursor of One Laptop per Child) and collaborated in the launch of Whirlpool's Park Avenue line of "smart" home appliances, garnering national media attention on NBC Nightly News and the LA Times at the international Las Vegas CES show.
Robert has acted as consultant, advisor and board member to numerous start-ups and multinational corporations looking to establish North American and Asian operations; assisting them in better understanding how to internationalize businesses and crafting their business plans.
Robert has been a speaker at many roundtable discussions and events, and has been quoted as a subject matter expert in Forbes Magazine, Oprah Winfrey's Angel Network, NBC News, The Globe and Mail, The Financial Report, Wall Street Reporter, CBC radio and others.
